     The International Conference on Actual Problems of Nuclear Physics and Atomic Energy is scheduled to take place in Kyiv (Ukraine) on May 29 - June 03, 2006. The conference will cover a broad list of topics in the following fields:

General information:

      The aim of the conference is to promote discussions and exchange of information on new ideas and open problems in these topics. The Conference will take place at the Institute of Continuing Education (ICE, http://www.ipe.univ.kiev.ua)  Bldg. of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, situated about 5 km south of the Kiev city centre. 

The scientific program will consist of invited talks, of oral contributions selected from the submitted abstracts and of poster presentations.

       During the Conference we shall also organize excursions and social events in order to provide the participants with a touch of Kyiv and Ukrainian culture. 

       The working languages of the Conference are English, Russian and Ukrainian. The organizers will provide the reports and the discussions with the simultaneous translation.

   

Accommodation:

        Accommodation will be provided in 3 star hotel ²MIR² (http://www.hotelmir.kiev.ua). The cost of accommodation per person (including breakfast) will be around 35 Euro/day in double occupancy rooms and 60 Euro/day in single rooms (please note that prices may be subject to currency fluctuations). Hotel is located in the city, close to the Conference site. A number of luxury suites will also be available at 100 - 150 Euro/day. A limited number of places will be available at lower rates (10-20 Euro/day) at the ICE. Please contact the organizers for arrangements.

       Transportation will be organized from the hotel to the Conference centre at the ICE. Lunches will be served at the ICE.

 

Conference fee:

       The regular registration fee for participants in the Conference amounting to 200 Euro covers the Conference Proceedings, the welcome party, the conference dinner, all coffee breaks and cultural events. The registration fee for accompanying persons amounting to 50 Euro includes all the Conference social program activities and other cultural events. The fee can only be paid on arrival.

 

Fellowships:   

           A limited number of fellowships will be available for students and young scientists. The applicants should provide a short (one page) curriculum vita and a letter of recommendation from a senior scientist who supports their application. 

 

 Abstracts and Proceedings:

       The Proceedings of the Conference will be published. The oral and poster contributions will be collected in a special volume published by the KINR. Also, a booklet of abstracts will be available at the beginning of the Conference. For that, we kindly invite the participants who will give oral and poster contributions to send the abstracts of their papers (less than 300 words) via E-mail to    NPAE-Kyiv2006@kinr.kiev.ua, before April 15-th, 2006.
