THIRD BULLETIN

The given information is the last bulletin of the International Conference “Current Problems in Nuclear Physics and Atomic Energy” (NPAE-Kyiv2006), to be held on May 29 – June 03, 2006 in Kyiv.

Purpose.

The purpose of the Conference is the presentation of scientific reports and exchange of information about the new ideas and results on current problems of nuclear physics and atomic energy.

Scientific Program.

The Conference Program will consist of the invited talks and scientific presentations, selected from the submitted abstracts.

Scientific direction of the sections:

· Collective processes in atomic nuclei

· Nuclear reactions and processes with exotic nuclei

· Rare nuclear processes

· Relativistic nuclear physics

· Neutron physics

· Physics of nuclear reactors, problems of atomic energy and reactors of the future

· Applied nuclear physics and technique of experiments

Program of the Conference

The Conference program is attached to this electronic bulletin and you will be able to find it on the conference web-site (please, follow the possible changes in the program).

Plenary sessions are planned in the first half of the day during the Conference, where the invited talks will be presented (21 reports). Sectional meetings will be organized in the second half of the day according to the scientific directions, where two separate poster sessions are also planned in nuclear physics and atomic energy.

For oral presentations the speakers will be provided with multimedia projector (beemer) and ordinary projectors for transparencies.

The desirable size for the posters presentations is: height 90 cm, width 50 cm.

The final registration date:

The final registration date for the participation in the Conference is – 10 May 2006. If you want to be registered you can do it online right from the official Conference web-site.

The registration fee for Conference participants is fixed in amount of 200 Euros and covers the Conference Proceedings, the welcome party, the Conference dinner, all coffee breaks and cultural events.

The registration fee for accompanying persons is fixed in amount of 50 Euros and includes all social program activities and other cultural events.

For the representatives from Ukraine and other NIS countries the conference fee is fixed in amount of 200 hryvnas for Conference participants and 50 hryvnas for each accompanied person.

Fee can only be paid on arrival during the registration.

Accommodation and practical information.

Conference participants can lodge in the hotel complex of the premise where the Conference sessions will be held in the single- and double rooms of European standards for the price of 15 – 20 Euros/night.

The participants can also get accommodation in the 3 stars hotel “MIR” (http://www.hotelmir.kiev.ua). Hotel is located in the city, close to the Conference site and downtown. The cost of accommodation per person (including breakfast) will be around 35 Euros/night in double room and 60 Euros/night in single room. A number of luxury suites will also be available at 100 - 150 Euros/night with the assistance of the Ogranizing Committee.

Transportation will be organized from the hotel “MIR” to the Conference site at the IPE. Meals will be served at the Institute of the Post-diploma Education (IPE).

Travel and visa.

In the part “Travel info” of the Conference web-site one can find the information about the location of the IPE, the international airport and the railway station and other useful information. This information will be renewed in case of any additional requests from the participants. The Organizing Committee would appreciate very much if you confirm your participation in the Conference till 19 May 2006.

International airport “Borispol” of Kyiv has good connection with the majority countries in the world. The airport is located in 30 – 45 min. travel by car to downtown and Conference site. Taxi price from the airport to the Conference site, Vasylkivska str., 36, (Amurska square) Kyiv University students’ campus is about $ 20.

The route from the railway station to the Conference site will be indicated on the Conference electronic web-site.
